Air Fryer Churros (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
02 - 1 cup water
03 - ⅓ cup plus 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
04 - 1 teaspoon salt
05 - 2 tablespoons sugar
06 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
07 - 1 large egg

→ Cinnamon Sugar Coating

08 - 1 cup granulated sugar
09 - 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

# Instructions:

01 - In a saucepan over high heat, combine water, butter, salt, and sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low.
02 - Gradually add the flour, stirring continuously until the dough forms and pulls away from the sides of the pan. Remove from heat.
03 - Transfer the dough to a mixing bowl and let it cool for 4-5 minutes. Once slightly cooled, add the egg and vanilla extract. Use an electric hand mixer to blend until smooth.
04 - Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F and lightly spray the basket with nonstick cooking spray.
05 - Pipe small bite-sized churros into the air fryer basket, leaving space between them. Brush the tops with melted butter and air fry for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
06 - In a shallow bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon. Toss the warm churro bites in the mixture until fully coated. If needed, brush with melted butter before rolling in the sugar mixture.
07 - Enjoy warm with chocolate sauce, honey, or Nutella for dipping!

# Notes:

01 - For extra crispiness, lightly spray the churros with oil before air frying.
02 - If the cinnamon sugar doesn't stick well, brush the churros with melted butter before coating.
03 - Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes before serving.
