Ham & Cheese Croissants (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 4 large croissants, sliced in half
02 - 8 slices deli ham (about 200g)
03 - 8 slices Swiss or Gruyère cheese (about 120g)

→ Optional Spread

04 - 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard (optional)
05 - 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (optional)

→ For Baking

06 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Spread Dijon mustard and mayonnaise on the inside of each croissant half, if using.
03 - Layer two slices of ham and two slices of cheese inside each croissant. Close the croissants and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
04 - Lightly brush the tops of the croissants with melted butter.
05 - Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the croissants are golden brown.
06 - Remove from the oven and serve warm.

# Notes:

01 - Swiss cheese can be swapped for cheddar, provolone, or your favorite cheese.
02 - Add fresh herbs like thyme or parsley for extra flavor.
03 - For extra crispiness, bake the croissants on a rack placed over the baking sheet.
