Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.

On a lightly floured surface, unroll both pizza dough tubes and stack them, aligning and gently pressing them together. Cut the layered dough into 4 equal sections and roll out each to an 8x10-inch rectangle.

In a small bowl, combine softened cream cheese, crumbled bacon, red onion, jalapeño, chives, and minced garlic.

Layer the dough sections, spreading cream cheese mixture between each layer. Start with a dough section, spread 1/3 of the mixture, add another dough section, repeat until all layers are used. Gently press to seal layers.

Cut the dough stack into 8 equal strips. Cut each strip in half to create 16 shorter strips. Twist and stretch each strip (3-5 twists), bringing ends together to form a circle. Pinch edges to seal.

Place twists on prepared baking sheets. Sprinkle with shredded cheese (about 2 tablespoons per twist). Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted and bubbly.

While twists bake, melt butter in a small saucepan. Add minced garlic and salt. Stir and cook for 1 minute, then remove from heat.

Remove twists from oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Brush with warm garlic butter and serve immediately.
