Crispy Sesame Chicken Recipe (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces

→ Batter

02 - ½ cup (64g) cornstarch
03 - ⅓ cup water
04 - 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
05 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce
06 - 1 large egg white
07 - ¼ teaspoon white pepper
08 - Vegetable oil for frying

→ Sesame Sauce

09 - 3 tablespoons honey
10 - 2 tablespoons soy sauce
11 - 2 tablespoons ketchup
12 - 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
13 - 1 tablespoon sesame oil
14 - 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
15 - 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
16 - 1 teaspoon minced garlic
17 - 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
18 - Green onions for garnish

# Instructions:

01 - Mix batter ingredients, coat chicken pieces thoroughly.
02 - Fry in 340°F oil for 5-7 minutes until golden. Work in batches.
03 - Heat oil to 375°F, fry chicken again 30-60 seconds until extra crispy.
04 - Simmer sauce ingredients 1-2 minutes until sugar dissolves. Toss with chicken.
