Grandmother's Ground Beef Casserole (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound ground beef
02 - 2 (15 oz) cans tomato sauce
03 - 1 large white onion, diced
04 - 8 oz package egg noodles

05 - 1 cup sour cream
06 - 3 oz cream cheese
07 - ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, or more to taste

→ Seasonings

08 - 1 teaspoon garlic salt
09 - 1 teaspoon salt
10 - 1 teaspoon white sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook ground beef until browned and crumbly. Drain excess grease.
02 - Add garlic salt, salt, and tomato sauce to beef. Mix well and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and cover.
03 - Boil salted water and cook egg noodles until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water.
04 - Preheat oven to 350°F. In mixing bowl, combine diced onion, sour cream, and cream cheese until smooth.
05 - In greased 9x13-inch dish, layer half the noodles, half the sour cream mixture, and half the beef mixture. Repeat layers. Top with cheddar cheese.
06 - Bake for 25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve warm.
