Cowboy Butter Sirloin Sliders (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Steak

01 - 2 pounds beef sirloin, trimmed
02 - 2 teaspoons kosher salt
03 - 2 teaspoons black pepper
04 - 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided

→ Toppings

05 - 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
06 - 1 medium jalapeño pepper, sliced
07 - 1 cup (113g) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

→ Assembly

08 - 1 package (12-count) brioche slider rolls
09 - 1 recipe cowboy butter, melted, divided

# Instructions:

01 - Season steak with salt and pepper. Rest 30 minutes at room temperature.
02 - Cook onions in butter over medium-low heat 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
03 - Cook steak 4-5 minutes per side in butter, basting occasionally. Rest 5 minutes before slicing thin.
04 - Layer buns with cowboy butter, steak, jalapeños, cheese, and onions. Brush tops with butter, bake covered at 350°F for 15 minutes, then uncovered 3-5 minutes.

01 - Can cook steak to preferred doneness
02 - Brush with extra butter when serving
