04 - 1 cup all-purpose flour

06 - 1 tablespoon paprika
07 - 2 teaspoons seasoned salt
08 - 1 large egg, lightly beaten
09 - 1 1/3 cups beer

→ For Frying

10 - Canola oil for deep frying

# Instructions:

01 - In a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot, add enough oil to fill it about 2 to 3 inches deep. Heat to 375°F.
02 - Cut the fish fillets into strips, about 1 inch wide and 3 inches long. Pat them dry with paper towels and season with salt and black pepper.
03 - In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, paprika, and seasoned salt. Stir in the beaten egg, then gradually whisk in the beer until the batter is smooth and lump-free.
04 - Dip each piece of fish into the batter, making sure it's fully coated.
05 - Carefully place the battered fish into the hot oil, cooking in batches for 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
06 - Remove the fried fish and drain on a wire rack or paper towels. Serve immediately while hot.

# Notes:

01 - Fried fish is best served immediately, but you can reheat it in an air fryer or toaster oven at 325°F for a crispy texture.
02 - For a lighter batter, use a pale lager or a wheat beer.
03 - If you don’t have beer, club soda can be used as a substitute.
