→ Main Ingredients

01 - ½ loaf French bread (about 8 ounces), cut into cubes
02 - ½ cup butter
03 - 1 cup brown sugar, packed, plus 1 tablespoon for topping
04 - 6 large eggs
05 - 2 cups milk
06 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
07 - 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided
08 - Powdered sugar for topping (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Heat your oven to 425°F. Butter a 9x13 inch baking pan and set aside.
02 - Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar until it's completely dissolved and smooth. Pour this mixture into your buttered pan and spread it evenly.
03 - Spread your bread cubes over the brown sugar mixture in an even layer.
04 - In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Pour this all over the bread, making sure every piece gets soaked. Sprinkle the top with remaining cinnamon and brown sugar.
05 - Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown on top. If you like, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
