Florida Shrimp Pie (Print Version)

01 - 1 pre-made pie crust
02 - 1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
03 - 1 cup heavy cream
04 - 2 large eggs
05 - 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
06 - 1/2 cup diced onion
07 - 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
08 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
09 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
10 - 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
11 - Salt and pepper, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
02 - In a skillet over medium heat, cook the onion, bell pepper, and garlic for about 5 minutes until softened. Add the shrimp and cook for another 3–4 minutes, just until pink. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
03 - In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, eggs, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir in the shrimp mixture and half of the cheddar cheese.
04 - Place the pre-made pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish. Pour the filling into the crust and top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
05 - Bake for 30–35 minutes until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
06 - Allow the pie to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

01 - You can substitute shrimp with crab or a seafood blend.
