Cheesy Stuffed Chicken (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Chicken & Seasoning

01 - 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
02 - All-purpose seasoning, Italian seasoning, or seasoned salt
03 - Additional salt if needed

→ Stuffing Ingredients

04 - 12 slices cheese (such as Swiss or cheddar), halved
05 - 12 slices bacon, ham, or Canadian bacon, halved
06 - 24 pickled jalapeño slices or roasted pepper strips

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Using a sharp knife, cut 6 deep slits across the top of each chicken breast, making sure not to slice all the way through. Season both sides generously with your chosen seasoning and a pinch of salt if needed.
02 - Gently tuck cheese, bacon (or ham), and jalapeño slices into each slit. Fold the slices if necessary to fit neatly.
03 - Place the stuffed chicken breasts into a lightly greased baking dish. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
04 - Remove from the oven and let rest a few minutes before serving. Pairs well with a fresh salad or roasted vegetables.

# Notes:

01 - For extra richness, brush the chicken with melted butter before baking.
02 - To make ahead, prepare the stuffed chicken and freeze it raw. Thaw in the fridge overnight before baking.
