                Dissolve yeast in warm milk and let stand 5 minutes until foamy.

                Mix flour, sugar and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Add yeast mixture, egg and vanilla. Knead 5-7 minutes until smooth.

                Chill dough 1 hour. Roll into rectangle, fold letter-style, roll out. Repeat folding process 3 times.

                Cut into doughnut shapes. Let rise 30 minutes.

                Fry at 350°F for 2-3 minutes per side until golden. Drain, roll in sugar, and fill with cream.
