Easy French Dip Party Squares (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the Squares

01 - 2 cans crescent roll dough
02 - ½ pound thinly sliced deli roast beef
03 - 8 slices provolone cheese
04 - 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
05 - 2 tablespoons butter
06 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
07 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
08 - Salt and pepper to taste
09 - 1 beaten egg, for brushing
10 - Sesame seeds for topping (optional)

→ For the Dipping Sauce

11 - 1 cup beef broth
12 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
13 - 1 teaspoon soy sauce
14 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder
15 - Pinch of black pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the onions until caramelized, about 10 minutes. Mix in garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Set aside to cool.
02 - Press one can of crescent dough into the baking dish, pinching seams together. Layer half the provolone, all the roast beef, caramelized onions, and remaining provolone. Top with second sheet of crescent dough and seal edges.
03 - Brush top with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffy. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
04 - While baking, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper in a small saucepan. Simmer for 5 minutes and serve alongside the warm squares.
