Easy Mexican Macaroni Salad (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 oz elbow pasta
02 - 8 oz frozen mixed vegetables
03 - 4 slices deli ham, chopped
04 - 2-3 stalks celery, diced (optional)
05 - ¼ cup mayonnaise
06 - ½ teaspoon garlic salt
07 - ½ teaspoon freshly ground pepper, plus more for topping
08 - 1-2 tablespoons salsa macha (chili oil), optional but recommended

# Instructions:

01 - Cook pasta according to packaging instructions.
02 - In a small pot bring to a boil 2 cups of water and add frozen vegetables. Cook for 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat, drain and set aside.
03 - In a large mixing bowl add cooked drained pasta, mixed veggies, chopped ham, celery, and mayonnaise. Combine well.
04 - Add garlic salt and freshly ground pepper and give it a stir. Serve immediately warm or chill for at least 1 hour and serve cold. Add more freshly ground pepper on top.
05 - Serve with a side of salsa macha (chili oil) or mix 1-2 tablespoons directly into the salad.

02 - Ham steak can be used instead of deli ham - use about ½ cup cut into small cubes
