01 - 8 ounces fettuccine or spaghetti
02 - 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
03 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
04 - 16 ounces sour cream
05 - 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
06 - 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
07 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
09 - 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese, divided
10 - 1/4 teaspoon ground paprika

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking dish and set aside.
02 - Boil the noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and return to the pot.
03 - To the warm pasta in the pot, add cream cheese and butter. Stir until melted and smooth. Mix in sour cream, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, nutmeg, and 1/2 cup of the Parmesan cheese.
04 - Transfer the pasta mixture to the prepared baking dish. Top with the remaining Parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of paprika. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
05 - Remove from oven and serve warm.

# Notes:

01 - If the sauce is too thick, stir in a bit of milk or pasta water before baking.
02 - You can prep this ahead and bake just before serving.
03 - For added flavor, try mixing in fresh herbs or cooked vegetables like peas or mushrooms.
