Add milk, melted butter, and egg to the well in the center of the dry ingredients. Mix until the batter is smooth, being careful not to overmix.

Heat a lightly oiled griddle or pan over medium-high heat. Ensure the surface is evenly heated.

Pour or scoop approximately 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the griddle. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges become dry, about 2 to 3 minutes.

Carefully flip the pancake and cook the other side until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining batter.
