Oven Baked Bacon (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 12 slices bacon

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F and line an extra-large baking sheet (14x20 inches) with foil for easy cleanup.
02 - Place an oven-safe rack on top of the foil-lined baking sheet.
03 - Lay bacon slices in a single layer across the rack, making sure they don’t overlap.
04 - Bake on the middle rack for 18–23 minutes for average cut, 15–19 minutes for thin cut, or 22–26 minutes for thick cut bacon, depending on how crispy you like it.
05 - Transfer bacon to a paper towel-lined plate. Pat dry with more paper towels and let it cool slightly to crisp up.

# Notes:

01 - Baking bacon on a rack allows fat to drip away and results in extra crispy strips.
02 - Foil lining makes cleanup much easier—just toss the foil when done.
03 - Always use a large baking sheet to avoid grease overflow in the oven.
