Pizza Hut Breadsticks (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the Dough

01 - 2½ cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1 packet (2¼ tsp) active dry yeast
03 - 1 tsp salt
04 - 1 cup warm water (110°F / 43°C)
05 - 1 tbsp olive oil
06 - 1 tbsp sugar

→ For the Topping

07 - ¼ cup butter, melted
08 - 1 tsp garlic powder
09 - ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
10 - ¼ tsp salt, or to taste

# Instructions:

01 - In a small bowl, stir together warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
02 - In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add the foamy yeast mixture and olive oil, and stir until a dough begins to form.
03 - Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
04 - Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the risen dough and roll it into a rectangle about ½ inch thick. Transfer to a greased baking sheet and slice into strips using a knife or pizza cutter.
05 - Bake the breadsticks for 12–15 minutes, until golden brown and lightly crisp on the edges.
06 - In a bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, Parmesan, and salt. Brush the warm breadsticks with this mixture as soon as they come out of the oven.
07 - Serve the breadsticks warm as a side or snack. Optionally, sprinkle with more Parmesan before serving.

# Notes:

01 - If you like softer breadsticks, bake a minute or two less for a chewier center.
02 - Add extra Parmesan on top before baking for more cheesy flavor.
