Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly spray a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray.

Cook the egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and rinse when done.

In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until thoroughly browned. Drain excess grease. Add minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and sugar. Stir in tomato sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.

In a small bowl, combine the sour cream and softened cream cheese until well mixed.

Place half of the cooked pasta in the prepared baking dish. Top with half of the cream cheese mixture, then half of the meat sauce. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and beginning to brown.
