Slow Cooker Beef & Noodles (Print Version)

01 - 2 pounds beef stew meat
02 - 1 (0.87-ounce) packet brown gravy mix
03 - 1 (1-ounce) packet au jus mix
04 - 1 cup water
05 - 1 (12-ounce) package wide egg noodles

# Instructions:

01 - In the crock of a 4 to 6-quart slow cooker, stir together the beef, brown gravy mix, au jus mix, and water.
02 - Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or until the beef is tender and flavorful.
03 - When the beef is ready, cook the egg noodles according to package directions. Drain.
04 - Spoon the beef and gravy over the cooked noodles and serve warm.

# Notes:

01 - If the sauce is too thin, mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoons cold water and stir into the slow cooker. Cook on high for 15–20 minutes to thicken.
02 - For lower sodium, use reduced-sodium gravy and au jus packets.
03 - This dish pairs well with steamed green beans or buttered corn for a full meal.
