Easy Mexican-Inspired Dessert (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cheesecake Filling

01 - Cream cheese (2 8-ounce packages, softened)
02 - White sugar (1 cup)
03 - Mexican vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)

→ Crust

04 - Refrigerated crescent rolls (2 8-ounce cans)

→ Topping

05 - White sugar (3/4 cup)
06 - Butter (1/2 cup, room temperature)
07 - Ground cinnamon (1 teaspoon)
08 - Honey (1/4 cup)

→ Preparation

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
02 - Beat cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
03 - Unroll crescent roll dough and use a rolling pin to shape each sheet into a 9x13-inch rectangle.
04 - Press one piece of dough into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Spread cream cheese mixture evenly on top. Cover with the remaining piece of crescent dough.
05 - Mix remaining 3/4 cup sugar, butter, and cinnamon with a fork until combined. Dot the mixture over the top of the dough.
06 - Bake for about 30 minutes, until crescent dough has puffed and turned golden brown.
07 - Remove from oven and immediately drizzle with honey. Cool completely in the pan for about 2 hours before cutting into 12 squares.
