Steaks with Bourbon Cream Sauce (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the Steaks

01 - 4 New York strip steaks
02 - 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
03 - 1 teaspoon seasoned salt

→ Bourbon Cream Sauce

04 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
05 - ½ cup minced shallots
06 - 2 tablespoons minced garlic
07 - ¼ cup bourbon
08 - ½ cup chicken stock
09 - 1 cup heavy cream
10 - 1 teaspoon black pepper
11 - 1 tablespoon fresh thyme

# Instructions:

01 - Melt butter in small skillet over low heat. Cook shallots and garlic until tender, about 5 minutes. Off heat, add bourbon. Return to medium heat, cook 3 minutes. Add stock, cream, pepper, and thyme. Simmer until sauce thickens and coats spoon.
02 - Heat cast iron skillet on high. Pat steaks dry, season with salt. Add oil and cook steaks to 145°F for medium rare.
03 - Let steaks rest 5 minutes. Top with bourbon cream sauce and serve.
