Air Fryer Cinnamon Twists (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
03 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
04 - 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (or preferred sweetener)
05 - 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
06 - 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

→ Cinnamon Sugar Coating

07 - 3 tablespoons butter, melted
08 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar
09 - 2 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

# Instructions:

01 - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Add the Greek yogurt and vanilla extract, stirring until a soft dough forms. If needed, use your hands to bring the dough together.
02 - Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for a few minutes until smooth. Be careful not to over-knead, as this can make the twists tough.
03 - Divide the dough into 8-10 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a long rope, about 12 inches long.
04 - In a shallow bowl, mix the melted butter, granulated sugar, and cinnamon together until well combined.
05 - Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
06 - Place the dough twists in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each piece for proper air circulation. Air fry for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
07 - While the twists are still warm, brush them with melted butter and immediately toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat evenly.
08 - Enjoy warm, either on their own or with a dipping sauce like cream cheese frosting or vanilla icing.

# Notes:

01 - For a lighter option, use a sugar substitute like monk fruit sweetener in the cinnamon coating.
02 - Ensure even cooking by placing the twists in a single layer in the air fryer, working in batches if necessary.
03 - These cinnamon twists taste best fresh but can be reheated in the air fryer for a few minutes to crisp them back up.
