Oven BBQ Chicken Thighs (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 8 chicken thighs (about 3 pounds), skin-on, bone-in
02 - ¾ cup BBQ sauce, plus more for serving

→ Seasonings

03 - 2 teaspoons paprika
04 - 2 teaspoons kosher salt
05 - 1½ teaspoons garlic powder
06 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
07 - ½ teaspoon black pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with nonstick foil or parchment and spray with cooking spray.
02 - In a small bowl, combine paprika, salt, garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper.
03 - Pat chicken dry with paper towels. Rub seasoning blend all over, including under the skin.
04 - Arrange chicken skin side up on prepared baking sheet. Pour about ¾ cup BBQ sauce into a small bowl and brush chicken lightly on both sides, finishing with skin side up.
05 - Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and brush with reserved sauce using a clean brush. Bake additional 20 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F internal temperature.
06 - Switch to broiler and broil 2-3 minutes until sauce caramelizes. Remove from oven and let rest 5-10 minutes before serving. Serve with additional sauce for dipping.
